Frequencies through sound and movements
DEVOTED is a symbiosis of acoustic and electronic soundscapes where movements meet and form frequencies in chaos and harmony. The audience is invited into a choreographically open terrain dedicated to the contrasts of the present moment. DEVOTED to the meditative, the punk, the soft, the hard, the fragile, and the invincible.
Lisa is the choreographer and dancer who has worked on exploring the sense of togetherness in the transcendental with ceremonial dance practices and techno. Dijle is the artist, composer, and musician who combines utopias with norm-critical themes and scenes from her life in Turkey and Sweden. By blending various techniques and forms of expression, she creates a dynamic and innovative vision that aims to touch and inspire. They first met in Lisa Janbell's work Trans[e]ición (2015) when Dijle composed the music. Now they are back together in a new process, entirely devoted to what can emerge at the intersection of music and dance.
